TriedFirst
I test AI tools, SaaS products, and software workflows through real use — then write about what actually happens.
This site started from a simple frustration: there are too many reviews online, but not enough real experience behind them.
A tool can look powerful on a landing page. It can have beautiful screenshots, big claims, and a long list of features. But the real question is different:
Does it actually help when you use it in real work?
That is what I want to find out here.
What TriedFirst is about
TriedFirst is my public notebook for testing tools, workflows, and ideas around AI, marketing, productivity, automation, SaaS, and online business.
I am not here to push people to buy something on the first visit. I want to build trust first by showing the process: what I tried, what worked, what failed, what surprised me, and what I would do differently next time.
What I write about
- AI tools for writing, research, marketing, and productivity
- SaaS products that claim to save time or improve workflows
- Software tools for creators, builders, and small businesses
- Practical experiments from building online projects
- Honest lessons from tools that are useful, limited, or overhyped
My promise
I will not pretend every tool is amazing. I will not write like a salesperson when I have not used something properly. If a product is useful, I will explain why. If it is confusing, limited, expensive, or not worth the hype, I will say that too.
The goal is simple: help you make better decisions before spending your time, money, or energy on another tool.
I try it first. Then I write down what I learned.
